Been a while since we’ve been to Lewis BBQ but we had a visitor staying with us so it was the perfect excuse to go.
The brisket remains the best brisket I’ve ever had. We generally don’t like real fatty meat so we tend to only order the lean brisket but this time I mixed in a slice of the “fattier” piece and it was even better. The fat is so rendered down it just melts in your mouth, the rest of the “fattier” brisket is a little more moist as well. Being able to order 1 slice of something or 1 sausage is great if you want to try different things. I definitely recommend people do that, the staff isn’t bothered one bit by those type of requests.
The sausage and turkey were both great as well. The pork spare ribs were good but I’ll stick with the other things next time. French fries were new for us since the last time we’ve been there but with all the other side options and great meat I likely won’t bother with those again. They are something to soak up some of the great house made BBQ sauce like my wife says.
The staff was all very friendly and the place smells amazing as soon as you walk in. Some people may be a bit turned off by the eating off a piece of paper on the table but it doesn’t bother us one bit. Even with it being a little pricey, Lewis BBQ remains our favorite BBQ place.
