In 2023 the Reykjavik Marathon and the Reykjavík Culture Night will take effect on the same weekend which provides for the closure of a large area of Reykjavik in the period from August 18th to August 20th.
Many roads have closures for both events, when times coincide they have been included in the longer event the Night of Culture
