You’re right - that ramp will go over 826 S, join the ramp from 836 W around where the old ramp transitions from concrete to asphalt in the satellite image, and vehicles will enter 826 S on the left side just like they did through 2011. You can see 6 concrete piles on the satellite image that hadn’t been driven into the ground yet - they are part of the foundation for this ramp. The current alignment of 826 S is the future location of the collector-distributor lanes. Hope that helps with laying out the ramp.
I still have no idea where to start the ramp, though. Do you drive through there often? Maybe you can give mapping the ramp a shot.
If we can map it by tomorrow, it’ll probably make Monday morning’s map update. But whatever. One or two days won’t hurt that much and Wazers reports will help since it’ll show their path.
The split between the 826 N and 826 S ramps from 836 E was finished in an earlier phase of construction and is now in its final location. It’s correct where you have it on the map, so you just need to move the endpoint to connect to the direct 836 E - 826 S ramp. I’ll have to check the drawings about the ramps from 836 E & W to Flagler. Maybe I can lay it out in Google Earth and send you the KML file. I live in Maryland now so I can’t edit it, but I was involved with this and a few other projects on 826 so I’m familiar with the design and phasing.
Hey, sorry I didn’t get back to you sooner, it was a very busy week at work. The direct ramp looked good and hopefully you now have tracks to check it against. I still haven’t had a chance to check the planned alignment of the ramps to W Flagler, so let me know if you still need that information.
Everyone who works this area: It’ll take a while for everyone’s tiles to refresh since I don’t think this change will go through until sometime tomorrow so please don’t close any URs without first letting the Wazer know to refresh their tiles!
Based on personal experience (driving it tonight), I added a wayfinder segment labeled “SR-836 / Right Lanes” where the ramp for Palmetto is. For the time being, I think we need to keep it like this until people get acclimated to the new ramps, etc. Dolphin Expy W has also been realigned slightly after going beyond Palmetto.
