it would be really nice and EASIER to get community reports if there was a way to activate Waze automatically when the phone (Android/iPhone) when it enters “Car Mode”.
I have no idea what “car mode” is or how my phone would know this.
On my Droid Razr Maxx, I set up “Smart Actions” to automatically launch Waze when the Bluetooth connection is made to my car stereo.
I have to imagine there are apps out there that would serve the same function.
With some Android devices, they can go into “Car Mode” automatically when docked to a car (or plugged into specific types of chargers). It changes the main screen to simple quick access buttons (Navigation, Voice Search, Make a Call, etc).
I believe this user is looking for something similar to Tasker integration (previously discussed in the forums) where when the phone connects to the car’s bluetooth, it launches Waze, and when it disconnects, it shuts down.
Yep, Tasker would be my recommendation.
