Is this a…: Standard bug Steps to reproduce this issue:
Find a UR where the reporter has posted 2+ consecutive replies, and select the default “Actionable URs” filter.
I respectfully suggest that the definition of “Actionable” is broken. Surely the more comments the UR has (in particular from the reporter), the more actionable it becomes?
I’d just like to join my friends above in their frustration, and refer to Merriam-Webster Dictionary’s definition of the word actionable as “capable of being acted on”.
In our case this would be a UR with enough information (i.e. one or more comments) available from the reporter to be acted on.
My thought is that if only the reporter has commented then it should stay as an “actionable” report no matter how many consecutive comments they add. Once an editor comments then it’s fair game not to be “actionable” and the editor can follow up on their own.
That may be region/country specific, as it lends itself to “claiming” URs, which is not a universal practice. Personally, even if I send a reminder/inquiry, I do not mind if someone else follows up. Especially if its been a couple days or more since I sent my reply.
Nothing to do with claiming URs. Presently, if an editor comments on an “actionable” UR with no comment, it drops off of the “actionable” list. My suggestion would be consistent with this behavior.
