Actionable URs

Hello @YanisKyr ,

Thank you for the feedback.

I have checked with the team and ‘Actionable URs’ are defined as URs with zero or one comment so the behavior you see is expected.

If you would like the current setup to be changed or improved, I would appreciate it if you could create a UserVoice suggestion and link it here.

I will change the status of the report to works-as-designed but it remains open for further discussion and updates.

Kind regards,
Kasia

I’ll try to stay calm so I’m going to close this tab..

@Kasia-staff Could the team define why a UR with two comments is not actionable?

Surely a UR is actionable if comments > 0

I respectfully suggest that the definition of “Actionable” is broken. Surely the more comments the UR has (in particular from the reporter), the more actionable it becomes?

I’d just like to join my friends above in their frustration, and refer to Merriam-Webster Dictionary’s definition of the word actionable as “capable of being acted on”.
In our case this would be a UR with enough information (i.e. one or more comments) available from the reporter to be acted on.

My thought is that if only the reporter has commented then it should stay as an “actionable” report no matter how many consecutive comments they add. Once an editor comments then it’s fair game not to be “actionable” and the editor can follow up on their own.

That may be region/country specific, as it lends itself to “claiming” URs, which is not a universal practice. Personally, even if I send a reminder/inquiry, I do not mind if someone else follows up. Especially if its been a couple days or more since I sent my reply.

Nothing to do with claiming URs. Presently, if an editor comments on an “actionable” UR with no comment, it drops off of the “actionable” list. My suggestion would be consistent with this behavior.
