A90 Kingsway suffixes (Dundee)

The A90 Kingsway in Dundee is divided into Kingsway West, Kingsway, and Kingsway East.

Waze appends an additional direction, so the two sides of the A972 - Kingsway E are named “A972 - Kingsway E (E)” and “A972 - Kingsway E (W)”. So waze confusingly announces “Kingway East East” and “Kingway East West”.

Are the additional suffixes strictly required?

To be honest, I’ve never liked having cardinal direction within the road names. It’s best to have turn instructions on junctions, and just have the proper name on the road. Go ahead and remove them.
