Account stuck at Level 1 despite 1800+ Points and 400+ Edits

Hello Waze Support / Community Managers,

I am writing to report an issue with my Waze Map Editor account level and permissions.

My account details:

  • Username: world_oh8ssa5w

  • Current displayed Rank: LEVEL 1

  • Points: 1813

  • Edits: 434

  • Editing since: 05 September, 2024 (as per my stats)

The Problem:
Despite having earned over 1800 points and performed hundreds of edits, my account level remains stuck at “LEVEL 1”. More importantly, my editing permissions are severely restricted—I can only edit within a ~5 km radius of my location, which is the typical limitation for a Rank 1 editor.

Steps I have already tried (but didn’t work):

  1. Cleared all browser cache and cookies.

  2. Logged out and logged back in multiple times.

  3. Tried accessing the editor from a different browser.

The issue persists. This appears to be a server-side account permission/level lock, not a client-side display bug.
