I’m trying to add an island in the Maldives, but when I try to save it, I get the error: “Invalid country 189 was set for venue”. When I go to the address field, I get no country mentioned in the Country list. I think this part of the world needs to be defined appropriately as being part of the Maldives so it can be worked on!! Who can help me in fixing that?
Whether it may be someone here or staff, you can surely guess what will be the first thing we’ll ask you to provide 
It is not a matter of one island. It is a matter of a whole section of the Maldives being undefined. You don’t need a permalink to compare Waze’s definition with the country’s known area as shown in so many geographical sources in the net!!

I’m sorry, but the title of this thread is “Adding an island” and the first sentence “I’m trying to add an island in the Maldives” (both singular, not plural).
Please don’t respond aggressively, dismissing someone trying to offer help and suggesting he’s an idiot for asking a permalink to a single location, when you weren’t clear in the first place.
That’s all I have to say for now as fortunately, I can choose to spend my time on more pleasant things and people…

I didn’t put my post to argue about it. I faced a problem somewhere and it seems that the problem is larger than that single place. So I posted to resolve the large problem because it might face me on other nearby locations!! I don’t think a permalink is necessary for an obvious and significant problem like this. Sorry for choosing the wrong title!!
Problem solved.
You have to find something as close as possible where the Maldives is already defined. Then, you try to create new things (places, for example) nearby toward the undefined area. When you get close the desired area, you will find that the country shows up in the Country list. This is provided that you can edit somewhere close to an existing definition.
