Adding Images and business website to our stores in Waze

Hi Waze Editors,
We wanted to add store images to each of our 6 store locations as well as a link to our website where more info about our stores can be found: https://kolani.ca

These are the addresses of all our store locations: Stores

Should I upload the images for each store here in this discussion?

Thanks,
Kolani Team

These 6 locations have been added to Waze. Going forward, you can maintain them using your Waze app. Your edits will be sent to a local volunteer map editor for approval.

Roy (e-sarge).

thank you so much

I’m actually wondering the same thing. We also have multiple store locations and would like to add proper store images and a website link so users can easily find more information, but it’s not very clear what the correct process is or where those images should be submitted. If anyone can clarify whether images should be uploaded directly in the discussion, through the Waze Map Editor, or handled another way by higher-level editors, that would be really helpful. This kind of setup reminds me of working with a china dropshipping agent fast delivery shopify 3pl you want everything entered correctly from the start (products, shipping info, and images) so orders flow smoothly and nothing needs to be fixed later. I’d love to understand the best practice so everything is added correctly and doesn’t need to be redone later.

First, a point of clarification: “store images” is a broad term that can exceed what adds value to navigation. The Waze community prefers photos of the outside of the location to help users identify the location. Photos should be of the front/main/visitor entrance or exterior signage. We don’t want marketing images, artist renderings, etc., as they don’t add value to the navigation process.

Waze Places can be created and edited from the app.

To edit:

If the place is not currently on your recents list (on the Where To? page with a clock icon), Plan a drive to the place. This should add it to your recents list.

Scroll to the recent entry (with the clock icon) and long-press to bring up the submenu.

Choose Info

You can now use the ‘…More’ button to get into Edit mode to update photos and other details.

To create a Place, you need to be at the front entrance of the location, then click the yellow ‘+’ triangle, scroll down to choose Place, step back a few steps to take a photo that will help others identify the location, then fill in as many details as you can about the Place.

You can also create Places from the WME (windows map editor).
