We just added a road name that is currently unmarked in Waze using the Waze Map Editor. So far it seems to work fine as it shows in the editor.
My question is how long would it take place for the newly labeled road to be up online on the live map? Does it have to go through any permissions? We are not prompted for anything after the edits.

Edits done on the map will only show on the app after the next tile update from the server.
You can check the tile update status from http://status.waze.com
In the meantime do join us volunteers in FB group where the editors are more active there.

Is there any reason for not putting in a City name?
Also your road segment is not complete due to it is not connected to the primary street.
If it is not connected, the Waze app will not route you to the end of the road.
So what you need to do is request a lower lock of the primary street so that you can connect the street which you have created.
After that is done, request to relock back the primary street.
BTW is the ID : MartinHaeger01 your ID ? You are using a different ID to post in this forum.

MartinHaeger01 is my Director, he requested the road to be added so I help him through it.
The trouble is I don’t drive in that area and can not edit any of those roads.
Would you be able to let me edit that area, along with some houses along the road? It would save us time because he wouldn’t always be available for these edits.
Hi, that solves the mystery of 2 different IDs 
I have connected the road for you with the connections allowed.
You can only edit if you have driven along that area.
As for houses, if you have driven there, you can add the house on the map but make sure you set it as residential with house number and road name.
If you cannot add the house from WME, you will need to drive there and add the house using your app.

Can you edit the segment (road) to Jalan Kelab Ukay 1, the city to “Ampang” as well? It is currently untitled from what I see in the WZE.
As for the house numbering, we can’t use the “View House Numbers” to add house numbers through WZE?

As for the no city name, which road segment is it? I’m mobile with no PC access.

I noticed the city name “Ampang” is already there now so that’s fixed.
But how long would these changes made it to the live map? Now I check I still couldn’t find “Jalan Kelab Ukay 1” on Waze. Please advice.
Usually from 2 to 3 days depending on the map tiles update status

Hi, I check back after a week and while I can find the road name it didn’t show the actual road, Waze just refer me to a dot on the map where the junction is supposed to be.

Hi, you gave a permalink of the livemap which is not updated.
You should try checking it from the app.
From the app you can search and find the road already.

By the way would you know how to add the road through Google Maps? I tried using the “Send feedback > Report Missing Road” but after a month we still didn’t get any feedback.
Sorry can’t help you there. Editing Waze map already taken quite a bit of time. If edit also Google map, my other half will change the house locks. :mrgreen:
