I live in a gated community in Davenport Florida. My address is 100 Valencia Lane, Davenport Florida. We are constantly having delivery people being directed by WAZE to enter our back gate which is only accessed by residents. This makes it difficult for the public as they have to drive around to the front gate which is six miles away. This issue is causing anger among all residents. If WAZE would direct people to the front gate this issue would go away.
I will relay this to the Florida community.
But, Waze will not distinguish between private gates. For the place I stay in Florida, I created a Waze place at the main entrance that can be searched by name for routing to that gate. Simply - - if someone enters an address they will be routed to the best gate for entry. Waze does not know if the driver has access or not.
If you use a ride sharing service or delivery, they should be instructed which gate to enter.

Hi again. I did look up your address and there are already two different entrance names that can be used to route non-residents to the main gate.
Del Webb Orlando - Main Entrance
Ridgewood Lakes - Main Entrance
Both also work using Visitors Entrance instead of Main Entrance
The best way is to first enter your address into Waze and THEN enter the entrance place name and add an intermediate stop. Waze will route to the main entrance and then immediately continue the route to your address.
And this large development is a perfect example of why Waze works this way. Anyone living in the southern section would want a route through the south entrance, rather than getting a circuitous route taking them farther away from a more direct route.
Hope this helps
