For years now, I’ve noticed that the alerts I place on the map — potholes, obstacles, etc. — disappear shortly after, or at least by the next time I pass through the same spot. The most common situation is with potholes, some of them actual craters; I pass the area daily and the warning I left the day before or just a few hours earlier is gone. As such, I’m going to stop doing it, as I don’t see any use in the effort! I always thought there was a community spirit, but apparently, it only works for some things!
The duration of alerts does not depend on the community.
It depends on other Wazers passing through the same location and confirming the alert so that its duration is extended.

Personally, I consider this option to be terrible, as potholes take weeks, months, or even an eternity to be filled. Assuming that the fact that no other Wazers confirm it within a short period of time (how many hours or minutes?) seems completely illogical. For my part, I will stop creating alerts, as I am just wasting my time. Please note that I am not referring to vehicles stopped on the shoulder and short-term things, but rather to potholes that can break the suspension of several cars.
