I don’t know if I’m just missing a setting somewhere, but I often find the alert feature—where waze pops up a sequence of thought bubbles telling me about significant events near me—almost useless, since almost all of the alerts are well away from the route I’m traveling.
I’d really like an option to limit the alerts to events along, or very close to, the route I’m traveling. Telling me about slow traffic and three accidents in the opposite direction from the one I’m going in isn’t helpful.
