Allow myself to introduce... myself

Hi all,

My name is Drew and I recently started using Waze and after discovering several map issues, I looked into becoming a map editor.

So far, I’ve corrected numerous issues in the Espanola area, specifically, the La Puebla and Arroyo Seco communities and even added the recently completed frontage road overpass near Pojoaque (with help connecting to US-84/285 from pjlasl).

Professionally, I am a mechanical engineer with about ten years experience in land surveying (1990-2000), so working in the map editor feels quite intuitive. Of course, being new, I am completely open to coaching if needed. (This is the area I worked on these last few days. It was… a mess, to say the least.)

That’s about it for now! I’m sure I’ll be asking for help connecting to State Road 76 soon, since it’s level 3 locked.

Have a great night!
-Drew

Welcome to Waze, and happy editing!

Hi Drew!

Sorry for the long delay in responding… I have been distracted this summer/fall. I appreciate you introducing yourself here and help making the map better!

Let me know if you need any help or ideas editing in New Mexico. I am a Rank-6 editor and Global Champ based in Albuquerque. Contact me any time.

Sounds great, thanks! I just responded to your PM as well. I’m a bit caught up in real life myself.

Added your effort to the NM To Do list:
