Any local editors in Drogheda?

The one-way system seems to have been reversed according to the below map report. Do we have a local editor around as these changes would require rather delicate knowledge of the area?

Weird: the GPS tracks still show traffic (or something) moving in both directions. I wonder if that’s a combination of traffic before the change and traffic after the change.

In any case, there’s no AM for the area and no edits on a lot of roads for years. Pip (seriousarsonist) is an AM for all of Northern Ireland and border areas and his AM area stops just north of Drogheda - it might be worth asking him if he’s ever as far south as Drogheda.

Failing all of that, a field trip combined with a lot of research to see what the county council has published might help…

Unfortunately I’m not that far south very often. I’ll happily take on a little bit more to cover Drogheda.

Have a look at this article, it’s got a simple map of the one way system implemented in August.

Thanks!

Yanis: this should help clear things up. If at all possible, it’d be good to check an official source. Have you looked for anything published by Louth county council?

++David

That’s very helpful indeed @seriousarsonist.

@davidg666 I did look for info from an official source, but couldn’t find anything.

Hi Yanis,

I just found this - and although it has the same image as the LMFM article, it does have a bit more text. I thought it might be useful to get the information directly from the horse’s mouth, if at all possible.

I get the feeling that I’m not best at searching :stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks David, I’ll work on this with the first opportunity. Meanwhile, judging from the very small amount of reports, we probably don’t have many users in that area :slight_smile:

The area is now updated :slight_smile:
