Any way to restore deleted roads?

Hi all!
There’s a huge offroad driving range in Austria, and I had just completed the ~40km of roads there, you can imagine it took many, many hours. Then someone deleted the entire range

Is there a way to restore this work??

Moved post to Austria forum for local assistance.

Hi @jm6087 I was deliberately posting globally to hear whether Waze as a product has this ability at all. I already asked some local superusers who are not aware of such functionality.

So: do you know whether it’s possible to restore a significant number of edits or roads in an area, created by one user and deleted by another user?

Also, edits are of course tracked so we can see who did what. But how are deletions tracked? Is there a way to determine who deleted, so we could discover the reasoning?

Since the forums are not actively monitored by staff, I would suggest your local leadership reach out to their staff community manager to see what can be done.

It has always been my understanding that Waze generally can’t restore deleted segments with the possible exception of reverting an entire map section (possibly by server) back to a previous setting, which would revert ALL changes made.

I also don’t know if believe there is a way to determine who may have deleted the segments.

Hopefully your local leadership can get some clarification/answers from your staff community manager.

If there has not been a tile update yet, look at the previous build. You can select the segments and see who deleted them in their history. Also, you can usually figure it out if there are remaining roads that used to connect to what has been deleted. The name of the editor should show in the history of those segments as disabling a turn or something (part of deleting the connected segment). Can you provide a link to the area?
