App is showing wrong or older speed limits - posted sign is different

I have been driving a lot in MD recently and noticed that posted speed limit signs are not in sync with the speed limits in app. Is there a way to reliad the speed postings?

I also noticed that not all speed cameras are marked in the app. Maybe there is a way to sync it up; thinking it is a separate topic

As for Speed Limits, we originally added the information from StreetView, which can be old and outdated. While we do have a GIS Layer maintained by the State Highway Administration, that information is only updated on a yearly basis. This only applies to State-maintained highways.
If you can submit a Map Issue Report in the app at the location of the Speed Limit Sign and provide details at the same time as the submission, that would help local editors make the changes.

As for Speed Cameras, you can also submit a Map Issue Report in the app. We rely on Waze users to report new cameras, and ALSO to report when they are removed.

However some counties rotate their camera locations on a weekly basis and we are not able to make changes in time - the edits take up to a week to “go live.” We do not update the cameras in those counties (Howard, Calvert are some that come to mind).

Also, us Volunteer Editors always need help updating the map. We have a small but mighty community that helps update the map in the area. You can see the map by going to waze.com/editor and logging in with your waze username. We would love to have you pop in our discord where all of us editors get together and help each other: Mid-Atlantic Region Discord server. Waze MAR
