Hello!

I have been out of town yesterday and today and I have sent PMs to the people who have shown interest in testing the iOS app. I think I need to send some of you a PM asking you for the UDID to register your device. You can copy the UDID by doing this procedure in iTunes:

My friend is also developing the Android version of this project, I will need a lot of help and your patience on that one since I do not have an Android tablet, just an Android Phone. It will be Android 4.1 and up. :slight_smile:

I now remembered that :oops: You expressed the interest and Jon said “A lot of people have a tablet as their only computer device”.

This app already does what you mentioned:

  • Analyze the map
  • Zoom in/out (Zoom bar or pinch to zoom)
  • Select URs and start a conversation or follow up on one
  • Select MPs and see if it’s a turn restriction fix
  • Add State/City/Street/Alternate Names/Segment type/… all you can edit when selecting a segment.
  • Flip turn restrictions
  • Places (authorise/reject) details and pictures (zoom pictures for more details)

Known Issues and planned fixes:

  • Keyboard pops up a lot when clicking on a text field
  • Auto-Capitalization/Auto-Correction on first word, this might be OS setting.
  • Ability to hide sidebar (more screen real estate)

Ver 1.1

  • Try to move the editing buttons (save/trash/layers) for more screen
  • Remove pencil, this apps edits existing segments, it will never create new ones.
  • Tab for area/city bookmarks

I’m also interested in testing and helping on an Android version. As one of the Toolbox developers I could also interface questions in that direction.

I have an Android 4.4 device (phone).

I would be willing to test on Android when it is available. Tablet running 4.4.

Tested some minutes now.
Obviously bugs:
-chat is visible, but the text field is hidden under the zoom bar

  • no nodes are selectable (or is that WAD?)

But: this is an amazing app! To see URs and PRs is really really great.

Panning and zooming is so fast. Amazing.
Do you think there will be a possibility to add segments? Or to move nodes?

I am interested. Just now started the update to iOS 8.0.2 on my iPad Mini.This could make checks/updates on URs, Places and house numbers so much easier.

Any plans for an iPhone version? I know a phone is not the optimal editor experience, but it would be really awesome for emergencies.
