[App] WMEditor Lite

I know this may not be the forum to show this project but I am (Alpha) testing this mini WME for iPad and iPhone (everything works in the iPhone but the screen is too small for this).

Last year I asked some friends to help me develop an app that would let me add House Numbers (Hi bedo2991!) and I am still working on that app to include memos that the script offers (the iOS app has not been released), then I attended a meet-up and ottonomy asked Waze about a mobile version of WME, from that moment I liked the idea but I knew some editor features were not going to make it mobile.

With this version I have been able to check the map, take a loot at new and existing URs, check if MPs can be corrected by enabling or disabling turns, Places Updates are populating your map so when you have some free time, instead of playing Angry Birds you may play Angry Editors.

I may be knocking on some script developer doors to see how many features can be added to this app, I like the side-bar hiding Toolbox does, I would like to have a tab where I can keep some city/place bookmarks, I would like to add more features later.

There will be an Android version, from me or from some other editor, but first I want to finish this app and start beta testing it.

Something important from Page 5

Edit:
Beta testers are welcome

Hi,
I welcome your idea! Do You plan to make Android version also, or only for iOS?

I need to see if the dev has an Android tablet to test it, I have an Android Phone but the app definitely has to exist in both platforms.

i’m no dev, but looking forward for an android version…
I have multiple android tablets and phones at home

We have been able to show/hide the sidebar but the editable area on the right will not activate and those small things, maybe move the save/pencil/trash buttons somewhere else like the zoom bar.

I am glad we will have a lot of patient Android testers

The minimum firmware for iOS is 7.1.

I really don’t know what OS is being using in Android, I was thinking 4.2 and up? I am using 4.4.4 on a phone I have.

Sign me up. Ipad IOS 8, and android 4.4.4

Wow. This is fantastic news! You may remember that I also expressed interest in a mobile optimized version of WME at the meetup. I suggested to Waze that even though it would be impractical for full editing capabilities, just being able to properly view and analyze the map, zoom, select URs, and flip turn restrictions, would be a huge boon to those of us who manage areas and/or attempt to assist/mentor other editors during our work days. It seems that you are well on your way to realizing these dreams, and I’d like to applaud you for the hard work, and offer my services in any way possible from the user end. An iPad mini and iPhones 4S, 5, 5S, and 6 all happily await the opportunity in my circle. Thank you!

A great initiative.

Would be great if the OS is 4.1 and up as I’m using Galaxy S3 on 4.1.2.

Excellent! I’m looking forward …

Not to mention assigning street names and addresses for new subdivisions, since it is unlikely that we will ever get another street or address import (I can’t imagine the logistics of that kind of a data merge!)

Sounds great… sign me up… owns Iphone 5 & iPad 3. Both iOS 8.0.2

Count me in. iPhone 6 Plus (ios 8.02) and ipad mini (ios 8.02) Thanks
