I have noticed that my areas that I have cleared to edit are now beginning to close again. Is there a reason for this? I thought it was an isolated issue but it apparently is not. I did a quick search but didn’t come up with any answers. Thanks
I’m not sure what you mean by areas you have cleared to edit, but if you mean your editing area that was unlocked from driving, that stays approximately 90 days from your last drive with Waze through the area.
The areas that drove were open 1 mile for editing. I havent been there in a while and was double checking a road and noticed it was shaded dark once again. So at level 1 editor my time frame for editing the area I dont visit as often is 90 days? I was just curious if that was the case. Thanks
For every level up to 4, you get a mile radius of editing area for your drives (after 4, there are no more increases in editing radius).
The (approximately) 90-day rule for expiration of editing area from driving applies to all levels. The only way to renew the time is to drive the area again.
As an aside, I usually link USA Wazeopedia articles rather than global ones, but the USA one doesn’t currently address the driving area expiration. I raised the question in the #wazeopedia_usa Discord channel so that it can hopefully be updated.
Awesome… Thanks for clarifying.
