Who are Area Managers (AMs)?
Area Managers (AMs) are community members who take a proactive role in maintaining specific areas of the Waze map.
What are AM applications?
AM applications are requests submitted by Waze Map Editors nominating a Waze community member who wishes to become an AM. Champs may receive special approval to edit in locations where they haven’t necessarily driven.
Who can apply to become an AM?
The application and approval process for AMs depends on how the Waze community is managed in a country:
- Self-managed countries: The community leadership manages and approves AM applications in self-managed countries. To file a new request, please use this link.
