If there’s an area that you know well, I strongly encourage you to become an area manager. You can start small (just the area around your home) and grow later if you want to.
The other key concept is that area managers share the work. If you say you’re willing to cover an area, that doesn’t mean you’re the only one, it just means that you’re one of the people willing to help out there.
