People who live outside the city center, also have an official adres/city where they belong to.
Traffic information will be better in this situation. If not entered a city, and there’s à report, you will get something like ‘…strasse, in neighborhood from…’. If that street is closer to another city, then where it belongs to, you get the ‘wrong’ cityname.
If an user scroll’s over the map and selects a segment, you expect to get the cityname as well. Can you give some examples of maps/apps where you don’t get à cityname when selecting à road ‘outside’ the city?
I do not want to interfere too much in this discussion. I personaly don’t do any editing in Germany, but drive there also a lot. I’ve seen à lot of good work, but also realy realy bad. Last week I’ve been to Hamburg. It was terrible! There are à lot of ‘baustellen’ of 20 or more km’s on that route. Delay of more then 2 hours! There are no alternative routes possible. Only the last part just before Hamburg. Driving thrue the port was à good advice. I was impressed by the situation in around Hamburg. Good work. Yeah, there where some situation…so I posted some UR’s for that, including my username, so I hope some German AM will fix it and/or will contact me…
I think rules are rules. But I have the idea, the German community isn’t ready with discussing about them. I won’t say you guys have to do it as the ‘Dutchmen’ says, but I think you can at least try this out in some area. We’re not here to get frustrated! I can asure you, robin1976 and fvwazing are very well know what they are doing. They know the system behind waze as almost nobody else. Keep in mind, we are getting lots of more info as the average user. Not that we can’t be wrong offcourse. There’s still a lot to learn, but they we’re building maps, before the ROTW servers even exists!
As I said, it’s up to you guys, do with this info what you want. I won’t discuss any further as I said, I don’t want to. I’m helping the Belgium community to get on track. And I must say, That’s looking really good!
Grusse,
Manuel
