Arlington Virginia has changed the name of Lee Highway to Langston Boulevard.
Yes, we’ve been monitoring that but will switch the primary & alternate names only when the signs go up on each segment to avoid confusion. They weren’t supposed to start until mid 2022 but someone jumped the gun.
Last week their sign division said spring 2022 was the start. VDOT is not putting out the bid for the signage on I-66 till Feb 2022 so it will be a while for that too. The name change was done a whlie ago and we have it as an alternate name so all House Numbers will work
The RPPs and Business Addresses on PPs and APs will be changed when their segments’ name changes but that will take a while.
I drove Lee Hwy west from Rosslyn to Spout Run on Wed., Nov. 4. Most but not all of the street signs have already been changed to Langston Blvd in this area. More on the south side than on the north. The BGS on I-66 has not been changed, and won’t be for several months.
