August 2023 Office Hours: Open Chat with Gil!

Greetings Wazers!

This month for Office Hours we’ll be trying something a bit different, and will be hosting an open session with the Darth Wazer himself, Gil!

Due to the time delay on YouTube, it’s difficult for us to have a conversation in real-time. So for this discussion we’ll be meeting on a Google Video call to speak face to face.

You’ll be driving the content of this session, so it’s important that we receive your examples in advance. You can submit any questions or examples you’d like Gil to take a look at here in advance. Please also let us know if you’ll be willing to come off mute for follow up questions from Gil. Topics should include Junction Boxes, Far Lanes, Paths, KoiFish or mapping best practices. You can see what others have submitted here.

If you can’t make the call, don’t worry! We’ll be posting the recording to YouTube afterwards.

Hey all,

We are aware of an issue with the registration system, and are trying to resolve it.

In the meantime, you can RSVP directly by adding this link to your Google Calendar.

Thanks,

Hi all,

Happy to report we have fixed the registration bug and the form should be working normally.

See you next week!

Hi all!

Thanks to those who joined us on the call yesterday! (and thanks for your patience as we sorted out the chat permissions! :? )

The recording is now available on Youtube.

We had a really energetic and interesting discussion about mapping best practices, JBs, and Far Lanes / Paths, and it was great to hear your questions, requests, and advice for other Editors. We’ll be taking your feedback back to the Map Squad.

As I mentioned on the call, we’ll be taking September off due to local holidays, so we’ll be back in October with updates on what’s in store for the rest of 2023!

See you next time!
Brett, on behalf of the Waze Communities Team
