Balch Springs, TX (SE corner of Dallas) - new exit/ent ramps

I am just a Level 1 editor, so I can’t add the new exit and entrance ramps on I-20, in the SE corner of Dallas County. I can’t for the life of me figure out why TxDOT decided to put in these ramps, when there’s barely enough room for the existing ramps, and there’s very little development in this area. Though the ramp is very convenient to the beer barn at the corner of Kleberg Rd. and Seagoville Rd. :?

Here are the direct links:

I-20 Westbound, new off-ramp labelled “Kleberg Rd.”

I-20 Eastbound, new on-ramp

I used the “Pave Road” feature to create most of the contours, then extended the endpoints to intersect the highway. Note that the intersection at the on-ramp start point has been reconfigured a bit, but I don’t recall the exact geometry except that it’s a little shifted.

Hope this helps - thanks!

Ok, if you could come up with an exit number to put for Kleberg, all other than that I just connected and enabled the turns.

They numbered it “480A”, without changing the existing Exit 480 (to I-635). Thanks! The map is so current now, it’ll teach those bozos at Google a thing or two. Oh, wait… never mind.
