Balga, Western Australia Unlock request

Hello,

The below segments are currently locked. I would like to add house numbers to the addresses on this segment, referencing Landgate SLIP GIS, as many of the properties on this road are units, and the vast majority are hidden driveways without adequate signage (I live in Camberwell Road).

I am currently a Level 1 editor and thus, unable to add house numbers to the locked road segments.

Can you assist?

Reason: Add house numbers

Thanks in advance,

Hey there,

Just a heads up that unless you’re being routed to the wrong address, or perhaps to a road away from the main driveway, Google will handle the address lookup in the absence of a Waze house number - this includes units (such as 34A/34B, or 1/34 2/34, etc.). I’ve just tested a few units on that road and they all appear to route to the correct unit even without a Waze house number.

If you do find that you’re being routed to the wrong address, or perhaps the wrong entry point (such as a house located on a corner where the address is on one street, but the driveway is on another), your best bet is to make a Residential Place Point (click on the + in the top corner of the WME, then Place and then Residence/Home). This allows you to set the address and also an entry point, which tells Waze to route to the end point rather than the location on the main street.

Finally, you should (if my memory is right) be able to add house numbers to roads that exceed your lock rank or are outside of your editable area and send them for review. Once you’ve add the house number you should see “Send for Review” appear on the top bar. That will allow your edits to be flagged for review of a senior editor.

Hope that helps.

One other thing I forgot to mention is that sometimes Waze can’t do navigation to courts right (even with Google house number data). You can always test destinations by trying to route to them and seeing where Waze wants to end the route. In those instances it’s worth adding house numbers because navigation ends at the start of the court.
