Our address is broken. Repeatedly, Waze is sending many delivery services to a totally wrong address some 2 blocks North. Please help! This is maddening. The address is 550 Observer Hwy, Hoboken NJ 07030.
It just happened yet again 30 minutes ago. It seems to sometimes be sending people to what looks possibly like 123 Monroe St? or sometimes to 557 2nd St. Most drivers get lost on Monroe St and get confused, sometimes it even seems to be trying to send them between the blocks, impossibly, like that 557, which appears to mirror our real location, but 2 blocks North.
Please help. We have already informed Waze and they have not fixed it. Thanks! Sometimes it works right, but all too often it does not. The screenshot attached shows the app while at our correct address at 550 Observer, and yet it’s still trying to send it to the “wrong” address instead.
Hi johndag1097,
Waze map has been corrected. The fix should reach mobile devices within a few days. On rare occasions it can take closer to a week. IMPORTANT step: Please remove any instance of this address from your history and favorites by tapping the ‘3 dots’ and then ‘Remove’. Then search for the address. If you don’t remove the old results from your navigation or favorites, you will continue to be routed to the old coordinates. Please verify functionality and let us know.
BTW - are you sure all delivery services are using waze app for directions?
Thanks very much.
No, not all deliveries used Waze, and those that dont seem to find us fine, so far seems only Waze has had this issue.
OK - waze map should propagate changes soon.
So, it happened yet again on Fathers Day, June 18th.
An Uber Eats driver, using Waze, sent to the same wrong address, see the attached screenshot, which is outside our real address, with Waze still telling driver to go 2 blocks around the corner…
is there some way anyone can check the logs or something? To see how often this is happening? Clearly something is still broken, and its always totally different drivers, so it cant be a cached address problem. How do we actually fix this? Its the worst glitch that can exist, as we have to constantly argue with drivers that no, the GPS is wrong and they are not at the right address. People assume this thing is infallible. Thanks!
I’ve tested things in my app and I get the correct location.
Unfortunately, third-party apps (like Uber Eats) don’t use the Waze search bar and instead pass raw lat/long info to the Waze app. The Waze app feeds this information to the routing server and a route is created that goes as close as possible to the supplied points.
Unfortunately, if bad data is sent from the third-party app there’s no way for Waze to know and nothing we can change on the Waze map to fix things.
You’ll have to bring this to the attention of Uber, I’m afraid.
Waze editors have no special privileges on Google Maps, but I checked over there and they also have the location correct.
Thanks for that explanation, that does make sense it could be some kind of comms issue between the two, will see what Uber has to say.
My business address is wrong. How can I get that to be fixed? Thanks!
