Changes from Red Light Camera to Speed Camera

Hi,

I’m convinced that the ‘type’ of cameras that used at below two locations have changed from ‘Red Light Camera’ to Speed Camera. As a result, no longer alert whilst driving past these unless exceeding the speed limit.

Would like to change these back to Red Light, to ensure that notification is prompted to users whilst driving as red light cameras act as speed cameras too, but not the other way around?

At the time of your travel where you following a Waze route or roaming (free driving not following any route)

Waze has recently fulfilled a long time request and has made numerous more cameras available to be mapped - as part of that there was a migration to how these combination cameras operate - I can assure you that both cameras are marked as combination Speed and Red light cameras. If you are routing then it will be annouced as such but we are awar that if not it just comes across as speed.

Waze developers are aware and have plans to annouce combintaion speed and red light when not following a route - we are unsure as to when that will implemented. In the meantime like ourselves we wait patiently and treate all camera with the same degree of caution when approaching them.

‘Roaming’ (not following guidance)

My concern is more so that that this has only changed in the past two weeks where they no longer announced when roaming. I used to have them announce all the time (each day) when roaming. But suddenly its changed :frowning:

Again - I have explained the situation - I concur and share your concern. We are volunteers - we are not the ones that decided how this should be implemented - we are part of the community too and are equally impacted. LIke us I would ask you to be patient whilst Waze remediates. Feel free to escalate though if my response does not satify you. Thank you!
