Hi everyone, it’s been many years since I last contributed to Waze. A few days ago, I wanted to use the app again, but the very first time, it took me somewhere completely different
The company voestalpine High Performance metals CZ is located at Průmyslová 591/1 Vyškov. But when I entered it into Waze navigation, it sent me to Prague. In the app, it always sends me to a Prague address, but when I wanted to look it up in the Waze editor on the web, the company doesn’t exist there. Even if I go to that address in the editor manually, there is no pin for this company. How can I solve this? Thanks for the tips.
It’s strange, we’ll look into where the problem is, but anyway, you entered the company correctly in Vyškov; it was just waiting for someone to approve it, which I’ve done and sent a link to the edit via PM. Otherwise, when entering the address Průmyslová 591/1, it offers multiple options and you can select the correct one… We’ll still check where Prague is coming from there.

Hello, Waze also works with external databases and, besides POIs from the Waze map, it navigates to locations from Google Maps. One of these is the company Voestalpine High Performance Metals CZ - Kalírna Vyškov with the address Průmyslová 591/1, 682 01 Vyškov-Praha 6, Czechia, which someone has placed in the CUBE Office Center.
There is also no mention of a facility in Prague on the company’s website, voestalpine.com.
To prevent Waze from navigating anyone else to a hardening plant located in an office center in the future, it would be advisable to submit a request to Google Maps to delete this fictitious hardening plant from the Google map.
Google Maps sometimes responds to POI edit requests promptly, while at other times it takes a long time or they are rejected; therefore, a good solution is to link the company’s new POI in Vyškov with this problematic one from GM located in Prague.
Already reported on Google Maps with a suggested fix…
But it’s only the second time; unfortunately, they haven’t realized yet that Vyškov isn’t in Prague 6 ![]()
