City name and boundary is wrong

How do we get City Names changed?

The “Mt. Sterling” in the upper left is not Mount Sterling (which is shown in the lower right), neither strictly speaking or even in the local vernacular.

Thank you.

I think the wiki article about smudged cities may be what you’re looking for.

I did some work to help clean up the boundaries for Liberty Township, just north of Cinci. One thing I did discover after some pouring through the forums is that the city layer does not update frequently, so even after I invested a few days correctly identifying every single street inside the township as belonging to the township, I probably still have a month or so before the processing job that updates the city layer catches it.

The suggestion in the article to turn off satellite data and just display cities and roads is a great one – it helped me tremendously.

Select the five roads in that trailer park, and set the city to ‘none’. Problem solved… eventually.

As TerryPurdue said, it may take a bit of time before the city layer gets updated and the “Mt. Sterling” label actually goes away.
