Closed roads not showing on Waze while driving

I sometimes come to a closed road that is not indicated on Waze; I try to drive another route but Waze keeps sending me back to the closed road. How can I easily and quickly tell Waze to not use the closed road? Thanks.

In the Waze App tap the orange Report button and select Closure. You can then mark which road/direction is closed. Waze will then re-route you another way.
It’s not possible to mark a road as closed from the CarPlay or Android Auto interface yet.

Is there a planned change to the way this works on Android Auto? As more people move to cars with this AA / Car play, it feels this needs to be addressed asap?

I keep getting routed down a road which has been closed for months, but i cannot feedback as I’m on AA and you cannot feedback closed roads unless you are nearby…
