CLOSURES FORUM GUIDELINES - Read this first!

Please create a new topic in this Closure Requests subforum for all your Real Time Closures.

Topic title must contain the necessary lock level for the closure (L4, L5 or L6), City or Region name, and a short description of the request.

Example: “L5 - Bangkok - Hwy 4 - Phet Kasem - road works”

In the post:

Describe the closure that is needed, by explaining what’s going on (Event, road works, etc.)
Note the road’s lock level. Real-Time Closures in Thailand can be added by Level 4, 5 and 6 editors, and the editor must have minimum the lock level of the road.
Post a permalink, with the segments where you want the Road Closure.
Provide the exact Start date and time and End date and time.
Provide the source of the closure, e.g. website or link to UR with user report.
Thank the user who solved the request and mark the thread Solved.

Maximum time for a Real Time closure is 6 months. When longer is required, adding a Time Based Restriction is advised, and we should not close the topic, to extend the Closure.

When the closure is set and the topic is completely finished, tick the green checkbox, so the topic will be Locked and marked as [DONE]
Note that after that, a lock will be added and you can’t add a new reply anymore

For Major Events, use the Waze Event Page.

For Closures with a daily or weekly returning pattern, a Time Based Restriction has to be used.

Last but NOT Least:
Real Time Closures can only be applied to segments that are already in the Livemap.
So if you’re editing segments, before a closure needs to be applied, you must make sure you don’t change the segment ID, by cutting-up a segment in 2, or adding a new segment. Then the closure must wait untill the next mapupdate. So the advice is to report the situation here, and the Closure Editors can determine how to handle the situation.
