There are some road closures in the Andersonville neighborhood of Chicago that are causing major disruptions and are not reflected on the map. The closure of Ridge from Clark to Broadway is shown, but Hollywood is also closed from Clark to Ridge for sewer work, and for some unfathomable reason, left turns from Clark to Bryn Mawr are currently prohibited. These closures make it very hard to access Lake Shore Drive by the usual routes. However, since Waze’s closure handling has been changed to only allow users to mark closures immediately in front of them, it’s impossible to route around these closures in advance.

Thank you for your post! I’ve added those closures to the map for a week. I’ll see if I can find a more accurate end date, but if you know of one let me know. These are definitely a pain just looking at the map

Thank you for your quick response. I also noted yesterday, when I tried to follow Waze’s recommended reroute, that Ardmore is closed between Clark and Ridge.

Glenwood is now closed north of the alley between Bryn Mawr and Olive, at least as far as Hollywood. Olive is closed for construction between Glenwood and 1419 W. Olive. Since Olive is one-way west, with no legal access except from Glenwood, this effectively closes the entire block east of the north-south alleys near Clark, although it is technically possible to access addresses west of 1423 W. Olive by driving the wrong way down this one-way street.

Glenwood is open now. Olive is still closed from Glenwood to mid-block, and I’d expect it to remain so for some time, given the number of trucks and sewer pipes on top of it.
I think Hollywood has been reopened, just from a drive-by glance, but I’m not 100 percent sure of that. Also, as of this morning, the left-turn limitation from Clark onto Bryn Mawr seems to have been lifted.
Got it! I’ve reopened both Hollywood and Glenwood. I still have Ridge closed for the rest of today and set to open tomorrow. If that get delayed or opens early, I 'm happy to adjust that as well

Confirmed yesterday evening, Hollywood is open from Clark to Glenwood (but not from Glenwood to Ridge). Also, the left-turn closure from Clark onto Bryn Mawr is back. I’m wondering whether they’re only opening it up during morning rush hour, which was when I saw people making the left turn.
Left turns are prohibited not just from Clark onto Bryn Mawr but from Clark and Ashland onto all eastbound streets from Bryn Mawr to Balmoral. The city is trying to force people who usually take Ridge to Du Sable Drive to go all the way down to Foster and use that instead.

Work on Olive is on hiatus, and the street is open again between Glenwood and Clark. Hollywood is also open from Clark to Wayne, but not between Wayne and Ridge.
