About a year ago, I had a concern when I was traveling across the country with another Wazer, I asked to be waived from getting the “Excessive Drives” flag on the multi-thousand mile trip after we were both flagged the first time we did it. Everything turned out OK.
This time we’re going from New York to Florida over the span of two days. However, I know some changes have been done to the system and I’m wondering if it’s unneeded to go through the trouble of waiving someone if the system has improved. If anyone has more information on this or knows a course of action we should take, please let me know.
I recently drove from West Texas to DC area in 2 days and did not receive an excessive flag. There is one user in Virginia that does 5,000-7,000 miles week after week that has not complained about receiving the flag so I don’t think it is applicable anymore.
I regularly drive from FL to NY and back. Each trip is 20 hrs long and the same with FL to TX in 22 hrs. Been doing this for 3 years and never flagged.
