There are some busy junctions (especially complicated ones) where Wazers are routed the longer, slower, and more difficult to navigate route, instead of the faster, shortest, and best route.
I think that a way we editors can make the Waze experience much better for everyone who uses the app, we should have the facility to set a preferable route through a selection of segments/nodes at busy and complicated junctions.
I see a good number of UR’s all the time because wazers were routed the longer slower way round a junction, which in turn is not going to give them a good experience.
Maybe this should be a feature for Area Managers and upwards to prevent misuse.
There is but that should never be used for personal preferences, as changing this setting will affect routing for all users. And your personal preferences might be well just - personal - and someone else might actually hate the route you prefer. I recommend not messing with those for selfish reasons, they should only be used to avoid routing issues in complex areas.
This has been discussed many times already, the most recent threads out of the dozens we have are here, here and here. You may also like to check out or participate in this one.
Since you obviously know the way but that Waze currently has no mode to follow the route you want yet, I would suggest that you stop torturing yourself by turning on navigation and simply open Waze and drive with routing OFF. You will still be able to see the map alerts and get audio ones if you are approaching anything unusual on your drive. It’s that simple.
