Dear Waze Champs,

I need your help. Tried to search for the help within the forum but was unable to find a suitable solution.

Below is the permalink from the Map Editor. I am trying to edit Azerbaijan (the city of Astara) and every time it keeps telling me that the “The highlighted place is out of the country bounds” when it is not.

Country borders inaccuracy is unfortunately a known issue. There are several similar problems around Germany as well as Switzerland and France that I know of.

For example a pizzeria in France can only be saved if you say that the Place is in Switzerland, when it really isn’t. If you select France, which is correct, you get the “out of the country bounds” error.

Staff has been notified of these issues several times but thus far nothing has changed and we don’t really know if anyone is actually working on it. :expressionless:

I have had similar issues in North Korea.
I have been able to work around the issue but it doesn’t always work and is not suitable for all types of items.

Hello,

Same problem at the French/Belgian border :expressionless: .

I wanted to add a POI in Mouscron (Belgium) near the border, but got the same message “The highlighted place is out of the country bounds” when trying to save.

When I modified only the description of the POI to be in Tourcoing (France), I could save it. Weird.
