First off, I have to say I love Waze. It’s great!!
My Suggestions:
It would be great if we were notified that our route has been modified due to traffic or some other reason. I thought waze broke because it tried to make me go in the opposite direction of my destination. i ignored it and went the correct way only to find that there was a huge accident and was stuck in a ton of traffic.
My second suggestion is to enable us to report police that are on the freeway - police trap means the cop is on the shoulder. I think this would help us to make sure our people are careful after the reported point…
To piggyback on that, maybe if the police are moving, you could tag a police icon to the person who reported it so it is moving then have a radio button that allows user to choose faster, slower, or same rate of speed as user
In addition, as the unit passes other users,they can tag themselves to the unit kind of like passing the baton to the next user so you can see the progression if the cruiser is patrolling faster than normal
This has been suggested before - and is practically impossible to implement. The report is no longer valid by the time it propagates across the system to other Wazers. It also becomes exponentially more difficult to predict position at each junction the report could pass.
