Croatia MapRaid - 24th December to 7th January

Hi everyone,
we invite you to join Croatia’s first MapRaid!
The MapRaid will last from 24.12.2024.-7.1.2025.
It is open to everyone (L1 editors have small requirements (see the signup form) but they still may join).
You will be given the CM role temporarily.
Applications are here - please read the preamble fully and adhere to it.
Feel free to sign up and edit as much as you want (there are no obligations).
You may ask any questions here or via private message.

Hi, please join Slack or Discord (preferably Slack for now). The links are in the form :slight_smile:
The MapRaid doesn’t have a goal by itself - you can edit anything you want, but there are some general problems with the map that should be fixed mostly by the end of the MapRaid:

  • Unmapped places (like, at all)
  • Wrong or incomplete street names
  • Old street markings (the D, Ž and L signs - in towns with >35 000 residents they should not exist, check the Decision in the #mapraid Slack bookmarks to check [in the Decision they use AC/DC/ŽC/LC but in all other purposes signs are posted without the “C”])
  • Missing house numbers (you can add them using the script WME OpenOtherMaps and adding Geoportal DGU, AND maybe, if I will be able to finish it by the beginning of the MapRaid, using the script WME OpenMaps - a WMS layer that would display HNs directly on the map so you wouldn’t have to check another tab - if someone has the will to help out, and by chance has experience in QGIS Server or GeoServer please let me know!)
  • Handling Update Requests.
