Being an exclusive user of waze on Android auto and being French, I wanted to know if it was planned to have icons for our danger zones (fixed speed cameras) on the road map at the start and end of the zone because currently, we don’t has only a voice announcement with a frame before the start of the zone and a voice announcement at the end of the zone but nothing during the entire length of the zone!
To give an example, here is what Tomtom’s AmiGo offers in an aerial view.
No, but users can manually declare these hazard areas in the application.
These danger zones will be materialized by different icons depending on the type of alert.
In France, speed cameras are not marked with icons in the application, in accordance with the regulations in force in the country.
Users can manually add alerts that will be materialized by icons in the application.
I’m not talking about showing the exact radar positions (prohibited) but the start and end of the danger zone, which is already done by waze by announcements with a start and end of zone icon as with AmiGo, sygic, etc. .
As far as user declarations are concerned, not all danger zones are indicated by users!
