I added relevant closures in Cape Town relating to the passing of Nelson Mandela - no word on how long they will last though. What’s the best way to provide updates to the Waze team?

Hello.
I recently added big event in LYON, France (French : Fetes des lumières). I don’t know exactly closed roads, but be sure a lot of road are closed in the City and traffic is very hard…
Hope this event will be reported next year (every 5/6/7/8 december) to help wazer!

Since this event begins 12/31/13 and concludes 1/1/14, we should probably start the January 2014 thread for the NYC New Year’s Eve closures for Times Square and surrounding areas. (Other major cities will be having celebrations as well.)

No updated news on closures yet, but I imagine it’s mostly the same as last year.

Orit where and when will the link for NYC is updated?

Credit to andytb for adding the Edinburgh Hogmanay event. Could the title and references be updated to “Scotland” though please?

And the text in the UR needs to be updated to either “Hogmanay Street Party” or “Edinburgh’s Hogmanay” from “Edinburghs Hogmanay”

That’s actually from last year. They haven’t updated this year as they did in 2012. I already checked with NYPD and got the actual segments that will be closed.

I’ve submitted road closures for Belgrade, Serbia that will happen at 31st of Dec during the New Year celebration.

Wow, and I didn’t even realize it was from 2012. What am I, new to the internet? It was kind of strange that NYC didn’t post any information so I did a little searching. Although this was actually hard to find, I found what we are looking for. NYC Closures for New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day Mayor’s Inauguration ceremonies!

Yeah, I saw that one too. I got the permalink of all the roads that will be closed on that day and the next day. Nice work though. :slight_smile:
