Hi guys can you advise how I go about reporting Defibrillator locations on the wayze maps
There are several great apps out there that specialize in listing all defibrillators, the Waze map doesn’t feature a way to effectively mark these items on the map in a way that would be truely useful, so anyone would be better off using a more clear and complete existing database anyway.
Waze is for commuting primarily, we see lots of ideas about people wanting to add side features that are not related to routing. My opinion is that it shouldn’t become some sort of “Swiss knife app” with too many functions, the existing ones are sometimes buggy enough to add even more at this point.
If there is already an app specialized in a field that Waze doesn’t cover, you should simply use them side by side for being respectfully “the best” at what they each can do and not request Waze to try to implement something that would never be as functional as what the dedicated app could offer.
It seems to me like it would be a lot easier to ask a defibrillator database app to feature a “Open address in Waze” button in their own app to start driving. Some might even already have this option.
