Hello,
I’m new and would like to know if someone could help remove a place that doesn’t exist.
When searching for some addresses near Stockton, NJ, the first autosuggestion is Delaware, NJ. Maybe it means Delaware Township, but there is no such place as Delaware. In addition, Delaware Township uses zipcodes from other municipalities including Stockton. In addition, Google maps doesn’t show anything for Delaware, NJ; it automatically suggests and uses Stockton, NJ.
How can Delaware, NJ be removed? It’s confusing and leads to a poor user experience.
It’s very confusing!
Even though it doesn’t come up when searching Google Maps it’s actually a Google database issue - we’ve asked them to fix it years ago. (gMaps is used as a backup search source for Waze)
If you can share a few specific addresses I’ll do some digging and see if we can make more suggestions to Google or if there’s actually something in Waze we couldn’t find prior.
Thanks!
Hi Greg thanks for the info. That’s disappointing that gmaps has incorrect data.
There is a specific edit which I think I’ve had to make twice now, which is just to get a residential address correct. I did it once for the “Delaware, NJ” address but the wrong address still shows up in Stockton. It also varies by name, between “Rd” and “Road” and again the user gets different locations depending on which one is selected.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hi theKlabia,
What are you trying to do with this RPP?

RPP has some limitations - it has to match street name and town name in that area.
Sandy Ridge Mount Airy Rd, Stockton was added by me as alt name - to make sure that RPP added by you will work.
Should we add RPP for Sandy Ridge Mount Airy Rd, Delaware?
hint: before testing functionality for RPP - Please remove any instance of this address from your history and favorites by tapping the ‘3 dots’ and then ‘Remove’. Then search for the address. If you don’t remove the old results from your navigation or favorites, you will continue to be routed to the old coordinates.
