Delete Segment (Villa Rica, GA)

Desired Action. Hope that someone will be successful approving the deletion of a segment at the following permalink. https://www.waze.com/editor/?zoom=6&lat=33.71796&lon=-84.93674&layers=BFTFTTTTTTFTTTTTTTTTFT

History. I tried to fix the SR that stated “Problem: The roads are close to each other, however, they are not connected by a junction. What to do: Drag the edge of one road so that it touches the other.” I discovered that one of the segments appeared to connect to the other segment but didn’t actually have a junction, only two end-nodes that were practically overlapped. When I attempted to delete the segment I quickly realized that this particular segment couldn’t be edited in any way. Even an experimental minor change in its geometry resulted in the following error message illustrated here.

A further experiment determined that it could be “marked for deletion” in the old editor but that changes in this old editor require approval.

Below is a picture showing the bad segment highlighted since the permalink will not show the offending segment.

Future Actions. If someone is successful deleting/approving the deletion of the bad segment I’ll redraw it and double-check to ensure it connects with the other segments before marking the SR “solved”.

Thanks.

Apparently I don’t have permissions that would allow me to post images. I’ll re-write this topic. ==================

There seems to be a bunch of similar problem being discussed; like here.

Thanks. I’ll see if I am successful submitting a request for assistance.

I’ve submitted a request for assistance twice but have not received any reply. Does anyone out there reading this thread have sufficient privileges to complete the deletion of the segment in the old editor? SRs are being issued by the system about the problems in this area. I’m really frustrated.

Update: Support has unlocked the segment. I’ve finishing fixing the problems in the area.
