Directions to my house are sometimes wrong

My house is on a flag lot, so it is set off of the street, behind another house. (I fixed the house number recently because Waze didn’t realize it was its own address) Because it is right between two streets, Waze tries to route you through my back yard when coming from that direction.

In this screenshot, my house is circled. My driveway is green; it leads to my street. But if you are coming from the other direction, Waze tells you to follow the red arrow, which would be off-roading through my neighbor’s house and through my backyard. Any ideas how to fix this? Thank you!

My address is 3461 A Sanford Street, Concord CA 94520

Thank you. I’ve added the driveway and made some adjustments to position the address on the driveway. This fix should reach your device within a few days.

NOTE: Waze stores all destinations you had previously searched for and will show them to you again when you do a search. Therefore, you need to remove them manually.

On Friday/Saturday or later, please tap the search bar, scroll to look for 3491A Sanford St - without a space between 3491 & A. Tap & hold until another menu pops up. Select “Remove drive”. Keep doing this until all copies of your destination in recent drives are removed.

You would also need to remove your destination if it is stored in Saved places, Home, and/or Work also.

Then, please tap the search bar and search for 3491A Sanford St again. You should see a teardrop shape on the left. If not, please check your search history/Saved places/Home/Work again as the destination is still in your device cache and will need to be removed.

Thanks.

Hi-

Thanks for the quick fix and reply! Here’s hoping that UPS can find me better now.

Keep in mind that UPS and FedEx probably don’t use Waze. For other services (Uber, Lyft, Doordash, etc) it will depend on how the search happens.

I just tested routing and Waze routes me correctly. If it does not route correctly for you, please remove your address from search history/Saved places/Home/Work as mentioned above before searching again.

Note that UPS and other delivery services rely on their own apps and updating Waze does not necessarily update those apps.

Thanks.

If you figure out how to fix THEM, let me know. This is a great first step though, thanks!

Sorry. You’ll have to ask the delivery drivers to contact their respective company’s HQ to get their apps fixed.
