Dover (Ferry Port)

Hi,

Can someone with editing rights in the Dover docks area please link the Google place “Dover (Ferry Port)” to a Waze place accessible by traffic heading into the docks from land-side, as currently Google has it positioned just close enough to these ferry-side segments causing Waze to route via Calais in order to reach it…

Hi Chris,
There doesn’t appear to be a Waze place for the ferry terminal (will have to question that with the champs), so I’ve added one now at the entrance and linked it to that Google place and a few others.

I was a bit surprised at the lack of Waze places in that area, especially after the last time this problem came up - I thought the solution then had been to link everything to a suitably placed Waze point, but perhaps it’d been dealt with by adjusting the road geometries instead?

Suggests this Google result was the cause of our problems originally and had been fixed once already… Ah, the joys of crowdsourced map editing, where fixes made one day can be quietly ripped up and discarded the next without anyone noticing :expressionless:
