Dear Editors,
As a newcomer, I don’t have the permissions to suggest changes on the map, so I am writing here. I travel to Dunafalva regularly, and I encounter 2 very annoying problems during route planning:
- The planner would take me across the ferry between Dunafalva and Dunaszekcső (ID 137872259), but car transport is no longer available here. Even pedestrians can only use it in a very limited capacity. Please add a restriction for car traffic.
- The planner refuses to route onto the road between Dunafalva and Szeremle (on the embankment) in any way. I checked the attributes; it should allow Private vehicles, yet it doesn’t. It worked years ago. Please look into the reason for this as well. (segment ID example: 281481284, but almost the entire embankment is restricted in Waze, while legally only the section south of Dunafalva requires a permit to enter)
Thank you!
Hi!
I’ve disabled the ferry and tried to tweak the embankment, but it needs to be tested to see if it worked. There’s a 3.5t restriction on it that they tried to implement on the map, even though such a category doesn’t exist.
The ferry block is working, great! It’s not routing that way anymore. Thank you!
It still doesn’t want to take me onto the dam, even if I set Szeremle as the destination, but that’s less of a concern. Anyone unfamiliar with the area can just go via Bátmonostor according to the planner, thereby sparing the dam, as people don’t drive at the permitted 30-40 km/h anyway, but at 90-100 on that 1.5-lane wide road. And those who have been here before already know where else to turn.
Oh, I forgot to mention that it takes about 2 days for the dam edits to go live, you can try it after that.
Glad the ferry is working, but it might only be consistently good after the update.
It even took me up the levee yesterday; both modifications turned out great. Thank you!
