There are two towns in MN labeled as Lake Shore. One is not a town, but a township. Here is the township named Lake Shore:

The town shows up as Lake Shore (2) due to the duplicate name on the township. I think the correct fix would be to just remove the name on the township, since that isn’t really a place name. In general I don’t think townships are named on the map. If the township name needs to remain it could be set to Lake Shore Township to eliminate the confusion.
