Eastbound 36 to Wadsworth to SH 128 is NOT a good route

I reported this through the report mechanism but there seems to be an issue happening with it.

When going from points west to a location on SH 128 in Broomfield, Waze routes you down US 36, has you exit at Wadsworth and then tries to have you turn left at SH 128.

The problem is this is an incredibly short distance, and you have to cross three lanes of traffic and cross more than one solid white line to do so making it technically illegal.

Not a big deal during light traffic, absolutely impossible if it’s at all busy.

there seems to be clear signage on how to do this already posted on the ramp. Is this not the case anymore?

We did some map manipulation and put in a fix, and now the app should give the proper guidance for the lane you need to be in to get from 36 to 128 correctly. It should go live in 2 days.

That sign is no longer there.

It’s not on the offramp? Is the center lane still allowed to turn right?

Yes, the center lane is allowed to turn left, straight or right as before (see the background of the photo), just the large sign advising you to use the center lane to get to CO 128 East is gone.

OK. Then what we currently have should help by prompting a right turn from the center lane.

Yes, that’s really the only legal way to do it as from the right lane you have to cross two solid white lines to get to the left turn lane onto eastbound CO 128.

I drove this today, and the change that you said was made is not there.

When you exit 36 it still says to use the right two lanes to turn onto Wadsworth rather than to use the center lane.

When will you drive this again? We made more changes yesterday.

I can take a drive out there later today (January 19.)

Yes!!

It now tells you to use the middle lane! Thanks!!

Glad to hear. If you don’t mind, mark the topic as solved when you get a chance.
