Edit request: NSW Armidale - Address search returns incorrect location

Hi folks, first time visitor.

Searching 21 Claude Street Armidale NSW 2350 returns Wright Village, a part of the University of New England. I have no idea why as Wright Village has no street number. It’s address is simply, “Wright Village, University of New England”. Street numbers at that end of the street are in the 70s which makes it even more curious.

21 Claude St is actually at the other end of the street, on the other side of the highway, right where you’d expect it between 19 and 23.

I’m happy to have a go at editing but as I’ve never done it before, it may be simpler for an experienced hand to take care of it.

Also, I reported this to Google Maps on Nov 24. I received confirmation of the submission but haven’t heard anything further. If there’s an option to push a change back to the source, it’s probably worth doing that.

I’m sorry, I tried to generate a link but I couldn’t figure out how to do that! The URL in the permalink didn’t change regardless of what I was looking at!

Hi Trev,

thanks for reporting the issue. I can see Claude St is split by the highway so it would be more annoying to be directed to the wrong location here.

when I searched 21 Claude St, Armidale in Google Maps it returned a Wright Village which had the address 21, result located at 68 Claude St. this was different to the Wright Village, University of New England Google maps place.

we can try and add 21 into Waze so it doesn’t fall back onto Google Maps.
I will let you know how this goes.
